歡迎大家來(lái)到新的學(xué)年，來(lái)到我們專門為11-14歲學(xué)生籌備的中學(xué)部。這是一個(gè)令人振奮的嶄新開(kāi)端，在這充滿挑戰(zhàn)的一年里，我們擁有了一些值得慶祝的事情。

SHENZHEN OASIS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL (SOIS)
A dedicated Middle School with a rich history
Welcome all to a new school year and to our new Middle School designed and catering exclusively for the needs of 11-14 year students. This is such an exciting new beginning which gives us something to celebrate during such a challenging year for us all. We truly appreciate and thank all our community for your continued support and commitment you have shown in supporting GOS and SOIS as we go through these difficult times. It has not been easy but we are hoping with the start of the new school year and the new middle school things will only get better. We would like to give a warm greeting to students, parents and staff new and old to GOS for the 2020/2021 school year.
學(xué)校決定為中學(xué)生籌備一個(gè)專門的校園，是對(duì)7-9年級(jí)這一階段學(xué)習(xí)的重要性的肯定。水圍校區(qū)提供了一個(gè)專門支持學(xué)生的環(huán)境，以滿足他們的需求。學(xué)校的課程設(shè)置也是針對(duì)他們的學(xué)習(xí)階段而制訂的，以挑戰(zhàn)他們的學(xué)習(xí)能力。雖然綠洲中學(xué)部來(lái)到了新校園，但作為學(xué)校基石的核心價(jià)值和指導(dǎo)綱領(lǐng)并沒(méi)有改變。我們的愿景依舊是“教育、培養(yǎng)和啟迪”。
The decision to create a dedicated campus for middle school children is a nod to the importance of this stage of schooling for students in Years 7-9. The campus at Shui Wei has been created to offer dedicated, supportive surroundings which catering purely to their needs. The curriculum has been developed to challenge them through programmes and initiatives unique to their stage of schooling. Although the campus is new for SOIS, the core values and guiding statements which have been the corner stone of Green Oasis School have not changed with the creation of Shenzhen Oasis International School. Our Vision to ‘Educate, Nurture and Inspire Excellence’ still holds true.
綠洲中學(xué)部提供雙語(yǔ)特色融合課程，非常強(qiáng)調(diào)中國(guó)語(yǔ)言和文化。這一點(diǎn)與之前沒(méi)有變化，隨著中學(xué)校園的成立，這給我們提供了引入新的和具有挑戰(zhàn)性科目的機(jī)會(huì)。中國(guó)數(shù)學(xué)將在綠洲中學(xué)部開(kāi)設(shè)，我們知道這門課程將激發(fā)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)熱情，使他們未來(lái)在所有與數(shù)學(xué)相關(guān)的學(xué)科中取得好成績(jī)。我們還為所有學(xué)生開(kāi)設(shè)了戲劇課，這門課程的目的是建立自信，并培養(yǎng)公開(kāi)演講和展示的技巧，這些技巧不僅對(duì)進(jìn)一步的學(xué)習(xí)，而且在未來(lái)的工作領(lǐng)域日益重要。
Shenzhen Oasis offers an enhanced National Curriculum for England with a strong emphasis on Chinese language and culture. This has not changed from before, however with a new dedicated middle school, it gives us the opportunity to introduce new and challenging subjects. Chinese Mathematics will be offered through all year levels. We know that this course will inspire the students to excel and set them on a very good path to achieving success in later years in all subjects related to mathematics. We have also introduced Drama classes for all students. This subject is designed to build confidence, public speaking and presentation skills which are gaining in importance not only for further study but in the world of work.
一個(gè)校園的品質(zhì)當(dāng)然還取決于工作人員，我們幸運(yùn)地?fù)碛幸慌鷣?lái)自海內(nèi)外的稱職員工，確保我們能給學(xué)生提供最好的機(jī)會(huì)。在寫(xiě)這篇文章的時(shí)候意識(shí)到少許海外教師無(wú)法進(jìn)入中國(guó)，然而，我們可以為這些課程提供教學(xué);在此期間，教學(xué)質(zhì)量不會(huì)受到影響。正如我所說(shuō)的，所有班級(jí)都將有一個(gè)合格的老師，校內(nèi)不會(huì)有在線課程。這是我們?cè)谏蟼€(gè)學(xué)期做出的承諾，我們很自豪今年能夠繼續(xù)這樣做。
Of course a campus is only as good as the people that work there and we are extremely fortunate to have a dedicated group of staff from both China and abroad to ensure we can give the students the best opportunities available. At the time of writing SOIS is aware that some of our foreign teachers are unable to enter the country. We are fortunate however to be able to cover their classes with qualified staff and assure all parents that the quality of teaching will not be compromised while we wait for their arrival into China. As I stated all classes will have a qualified teacher; there will be no online classes at the school. This is a commitment we made during last semester and it is one we are proud to be able to continue this year.
我們對(duì)綠洲中學(xué)部的歷史淵源感到非常自豪，2021年將慶祝學(xué)校二十年來(lái)的發(fā)展、持續(xù)創(chuàng)新和進(jìn)步以展現(xiàn)綠洲風(fēng)采。中學(xué)部將秉持學(xué)校的指導(dǎo)理念，確保滿足學(xué)生的不同學(xué)習(xí)需求。
We are extremely proud of the historical beginnings of Shenzhen Oasis International School and in 2021 we will be celebrating 20 years of growth and continued innovation and improvement which defines who we are as the Oasis Schools. SOIS will continue to build on the Guiding Statements established for the Oasis Schools ensuring it caters for the distinctive needs of middle school students.
