中學(xué)項目的學(xué)科

MYP Subjects


我們的課程包括有英語、中文、數(shù)學(xué)、科學(xué)、社會科學(xué)、視覺藝術(shù)、體育、音樂和設(shè)計等。

We have subjects such as English, Chinese, maths, sciences, social sciences, visual arts, PE, music and design.



綜合單元教學(xué)

Integrated Units


我們的老師會融合各學(xué)科的知識并綜合成有意義的學(xué)習(xí)單元。我跟同學(xué)們在學(xué)期初做的事情就是很好的例子。當(dāng)時在社會研究的課堂上,我們正了解解決沖突的方法,并關(guān)注于人類和社會之間如何因溝通不足和誤解而觸發(fā)了戰(zhàn)爭。在設(shè)計課程里,我們在木工坊學(xué)會了如何制作自拍亭。在視覺藝術(shù)課上,我們學(xué)會如何在木板上畫畫;而在音樂課里,我們學(xué)了一首于和平有關(guān)的歌曲。



注重學(xué)科領(lǐng)域的相互滲透,

把知識與現(xiàn)實世界建立聯(lián)系

Emphasis on interdisciplinary learning,

making connections between knowledge domains in order to understand the world around learners.


Our teachers integrate and create meaningful units. One good example is what we did at the beginning of the year. In social studies, we learned about conflict resolution, especially on how the lack of communication and misunderstandings between people and societies can escalate into wars. Then in design, we learned how to make selfie-booths at Wood Workshop. In visual arts, we learned how to paint using plywood, and in music, we learned a song on peace.


在這單元結(jié)束時,我們借著9月份國際和平日的慶?;顒酉蛉U故玖宋覀冊诓煌瑢W(xué)科領(lǐng)域的學(xué)習(xí)成果。

At the end of the unit, we were able to share with the entire school community what we learned in the different subjects during the celebration of the International Day of Peace in September.



溝通與協(xié)作

Communication and Collaboration


在課堂上,我們有時候要獨立學(xué)習(xí),也有小組討論或全班的集體學(xué)習(xí)。為了提高溝通和協(xié)作能力,大部分時間同學(xué)們會互相合作。在成長早期培養(yǎng)這些終身受用的技能,將有利于我們?nèi)蘸蟮陌l(fā)展。


In our classes, we sometimes work alone, in small groups or as a class. But most of the time we work together in order to improve both our communication and collaborative skills. These two skills are important to develop early in life, and they will serve us well in the future.

Whole School Events: Teamwork-friendly Competition


我們不僅與同學(xué)們互相合作,也有很多機(jī)會全校上下一起參與活動。學(xué)校會舉辦學(xué)院活動,我們按照不同的學(xué)院顏色分為不同的隊伍來參與各式各樣有趣的活動,以培養(yǎng)社區(qū)團(tuán)隊精神。

We only not collaborate with our classmates but we also do a lot of things as an entire school. We hold house events where we are divided into house colors and we engage in different fun activities to develop the spirit of community.

Clubs and Activities


另一種學(xué)生們一起合作的方式就是參加不同的俱樂部。上學(xué)期,我參與了體育、烹飪和樂高機(jī)器人的課后活動。下一年,我很期待可以使用學(xué)校里符合奧運會標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的室內(nèi)游泳池。

Another way we often work together is through different clubs. Last semester, I was active in sports, cooking and Lego Robotics. Next year, I am so excited to be able to use our Olympic-size indoor pool.



服務(wù)性行動:走出課堂走入社區(qū)

Service As Action: Learning Beyond the Classroom


除了在學(xué)校一起學(xué)習(xí)和合作,老師也會鼓勵我們參與有意義的社區(qū)服務(wù)。去年圣誕節(jié),我們?nèi)チ艘患裔t(yī)院為病人送上我們自制的圣誕卡,還表演了幾首排練數(shù)周的歌曲。能夠把節(jié)日的祝福和關(guān)懷傳播到學(xué)校附近的社區(qū),對我們來說是一次非常寶貴的經(jīng)驗。

Apart from learning and working together at school, we are also encouraged to engage in meaningful community service. Last Christmas, we visited a hospital to deliver our DIY Christmas cards to patients and performed several songs that had been practiced for weeks. It was a valuable experience for us to spread the holiday greetings and care to the local community.
