出生于中國(guó)香港的朱嘉盈博士是一位具有國(guó)際視野、國(guó)際合作經(jīng)驗(yàn)的專業(yè)人士,她在英國(guó)、美國(guó)、香港以及中國(guó)內(nèi)地都有豐富的管理經(jīng)驗(yàn)。

Born in Hong Kong, Dr. Catherine CHU is a globally minded person with international work and cooperation experiences across UK, US, Hong Kong and China.

Bromsgrove School Mission Hills was established in 2015. Dr. Chu is the Co-Founder of Bromsgrove School Mission Hills and was instrumental in the formation of the successful partnership with Bromsgrove School (UK), which brings the depth and breadth of expertise and knowledge a historically successful school (with over 550 years’ history) affords, to enrich its newly established international school within China. Bromsgrove School Mission Hills' programme is unique, with a blend of best practices from both East and West, focusing on the wide benefits of bilingualism and remaining always, dedicated on success for the child and open-minded to innovative approaches to achieving this success.

朱嘉盈博士現(xiàn)任觀瀾湖集團(tuán) (中國(guó)) 執(zhí)行董事、觀瀾湖教育集團(tuán)主席。她于2015和2016年分別與他人聯(lián)合創(chuàng)立了柏朗思觀瀾湖學(xué)校和海南華僑中學(xué)觀瀾湖學(xué)校并擔(dān)任執(zhí)行董事。

在中國(guó)內(nèi)地開拓教育事業(yè)之前,朱博士擔(dān)任新昌營(yíng)造集團(tuán)有限公司以及新昌管理集團(tuán)有限公司的執(zhí)行董事。朱博士負(fù)責(zé)新昌營(yíng)造和新昌管理的戰(zhàn)略發(fā)展及企業(yè)服務(wù)領(lǐng)域,并全權(quán)負(fù)責(zé)策劃及監(jiān)督新昌集團(tuán)業(yè)務(wù)運(yùn)營(yíng)和內(nèi)部企業(yè)職能的戰(zhàn)略發(fā)展。

返回亞洲之前,朱博士曾在頂級(jí)的全球管理咨詢公司——埃森哲公司(英國(guó))擔(dān)任戰(zhàn)略顧問,她曾與多家藍(lán)籌公司和行業(yè)的總裁級(jí)高管人員合作,包括聯(lián)合利華、強(qiáng)生、金巴斯集團(tuán)、英國(guó)石油、Opodo、福特汽車公司和世界經(jīng)濟(jì)論壇的災(zāi)難救援等,提供企業(yè)戰(zhàn)略分析和解決方案咨詢服務(wù)。

朱博士持有英國(guó)倫敦大學(xué)倫敦政治經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)院的博士學(xué)位(組織變革管理)、碩士學(xué)位及學(xué)士學(xué)位。在倫敦政治經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)院期間,她曾擔(dān)任教學(xué)助理,負(fù)責(zé)設(shè)計(jì)教學(xué)課程,并向本科生和碩士生講課,為期4年。在接受高等教育之前,她在美國(guó)的菲利普斯安多佛中學(xué)接受了中學(xué)教育。

Dr. Catherine CHU holds the positions of Group Executive Director at Mission Hills Group (China) and Chairman of Mission Hills Education Group. She is Co-Founder and Executive Director to Bromsgrove School Mission Hills and to Hainan Overseas Chinese Middle School Mission Hills, since 2015 and 2016 respectively.

Prior to her education initiatives in China, she was Executive Director at Hsin Chong Construction Group Ltd. (HK stock code 0404), and Executive Director at Synergis Holdings Limited (HK stock code 2340) in Hong Kong, in which she led the Strategic Development and Corporate Services of the Group. She had the overall responsibility for formulating and guiding the strategic development of the Group’s business operations and internal corporate functions.

Before returning to Asia, Dr. CHU worked as a strategy consultant in Accenture Plc. (UK), a top global management consultancy. She worked with C-suite executives across a number of blue-chip companies and industries including Unilever, Johnson & Johnson, Compass Group, British Petroleum, Opodo, Ford Motor Company and Disaster Relief for World Economic Forum to provide corporate strategy analysis and solution advisory services.

Dr. CHU holds a PhD in Change Management, a Master degree and a Bachelor degree, all from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) of the University of London in the United Kingdom. Whilst at LSE, she served as a Teaching Assistant and designed and gave lectures and classes to Undergraduate and Masters students over 4 years. Prior to her higher education, she completed her secondary education from Phillips Academy Andover in the United States.

朱嘉盈博士:我小的時(shí)候,受過非常好的教育。在學(xué)術(shù)上我能夠相對(duì)容易地、系統(tǒng)地取得卓越的成績(jī)。我很幸運(yùn)能夠進(jìn)入我心儀的中學(xué)和大學(xué)。

早期影響我的一次經(jīng)歷發(fā)生在我15歲的時(shí)候,當(dāng)時(shí)我被美國(guó)一所頂級(jí)寄宿學(xué)?!评账拱捕喾鹬袑W(xué)錄取。當(dāng)時(shí)我在那所學(xué)校第一次遇到一位來自哈爾濱的學(xué)生,她的家境非常困難。她是一位在高中學(xué)習(xí)的大學(xué)生,為了讓她擁有這段獨(dú)特的留學(xué)經(jīng)歷,她和家人不得不承受許多艱辛和債務(wù)。她沒錢打電話回家,更不用說在國(guó)外留學(xué)期間回國(guó)了。她非常刻苦,成績(jī)出色。她的人生故事讓我對(duì)自己輕松、優(yōu)越的生活感到內(nèi)疚。我當(dāng)時(shí)唯一需要擔(dān)心的是如何取得好成績(jī),并進(jìn)入好學(xué)校。我從來都不用擔(dān)心父母會(huì)不會(huì)無力支付我的學(xué)費(fèi)。

我和父親談到了我的內(nèi)疚。我問父親:“我不如那位哈爾濱同學(xué)出色,也沒有她勤奮,但是為什么我的生活比她的生活容易多了?”父親回答說:“是的,你確實(shí)非常幸運(yùn)?,F(xiàn)在,你有一個(gè)更大的平臺(tái),你需要在生活中取得更多成就,并確保在未來做出更多貢獻(xiàn),這樣你就值得你所擁有的財(cái)富?!?從15歲至今,我一直把這些話銘記在心。年輕時(shí)作為一名學(xué)生以及現(xiàn)在作為一名職業(yè)人員,對(duì)于我所致力的事情,我都會(huì)特別努力地去做,每個(gè)機(jī)會(huì)我都非常重視,并始終牢記要有所貢獻(xiàn)并幫助他人,以此對(duì)我所擁有的好運(yùn)表示感恩,并讓自己值得擁有這份好運(yùn)。特別是,我一直很喜歡幫助朋友和年輕學(xué)生的學(xué)業(yè)及大學(xué)申請(qǐng)。我自己也沒有想到,我的所有經(jīng)歷最終使我做出了迄今為止最大的貢獻(xiàn),也就是為下一代的教育所做的貢獻(xiàn),通過創(chuàng)辦柏朗思觀瀾湖學(xué)校給下一代提供優(yōu)質(zhì)的、我曾經(jīng)擁有的教育機(jī)會(huì)。

As a child, I had a very privileged education. Achieving academic excellence came relatively easily and systematically. I was fortunate enough to be admitted into the schools and universities of my desire.

One very early shaping experience that occurred when I was 15 years old, was when I was admitted to Phillips Academy Andover, which is a top boarding school in the United States. It was when I encountered for the first time a student from very difficult background, from Harbin. This student and her family had to endure many hardships and debts, in order for her to have the singular study abroad experience, as a university student to study in a high school. She could not afford to call home, let alone go home while she studied abroad. She was a brilliant student and very hard working. Her life story made me feel so guilty about how easy and privileged my life had been. My only concern at the time was to get good grades and get into good schools. Never did I have to fear my parents being unable to afford my tuition fee.

I spoke to my father about my guilt. “I am not as brilliant nor as hard working as my wonderful friend from Harbin, but why is my life so much easier than hers?” I asked. He replied, “Yes, you are very lucky indeed. Now, because you have been given a greater platform to work from, you need to achieve more in life and ensure to contribute more in the future, so that you are deserving of the fortune you have been given.” These words have resonated and stayed with me since 15. I have worked extra harder in everything I have committed myself to do (as a professional and as a student when I was younger), valued every opportunity given to me and always remembered to contribute and help others, so as to be grateful and deserving of my good fortune. In particular, I have always enjoyed helping friends and younger students with their studies and with their university applications. Little did I know that all of my experiences culminated to my greatest contribution yet, that is, to the education of next generations and giving them education opportunities through Bromsgrove School Mission Hills, the same type of education opportunities and more, that I have been so privileged to have had.

朱嘉盈博士:簡(jiǎn)而言之,朝著我們家族和我自己的夢(mèng)想不斷前進(jìn):

朱嘉盈博士:在我校的愿景、使命、價(jià)值觀當(dāng)中,我們有提到柏朗思觀瀾湖學(xué)校是致力于培養(yǎng)有自我認(rèn)知的年輕人,我們相信了解自己、反思自己的做法能夠幫助你更清楚地知道你未來的途徑在哪里。

我們相信學(xué)生在走向世界的過程中,有諸多的聲音會(huì)進(jìn)入你的腦海,最重要的是你要認(rèn)清自己,知道心中最向往的是什么。在擇校方面我相信也是一樣的,您可能對(duì)孩子有諸多的想法,對(duì)未來有諸多的期冀,您需要清楚地知道您孩子想要什么,該如何做?您需要盡可能地花時(shí)間與您的孩子待在一起,與他一起讀書,談話,知道他的想法和優(yōu)勢(shì),知道他的興趣和熱情所在。

In our vision, mission, and values, we have mentioned that Bromsgrove School Mission Hills is committed to cultivating self-aware young people. We believe that understanding and reflecting on yourself can help you know your future path clearly. During the growth process, you may hear many different ideas and opinions, but the most important thing is that you must understand yourself clearly and know what is most desirable in your heart. This is also applicable to the selection of schools. You may have many ideas for your child and many hopes for the future, but you need to know clearly what your child wants and how to achieve that. You need to spend as much time as possible with your child, and read and talk with him/her to know his/her thoughts, strengths, and interests. You should discuss with your child what type of school he/she wants and what type of school you want. After you and your child reach a consensus, you can choose a desirable school that meets your requirements. No school can tell you what type of education you want exactly and schools should not speculate on your thoughts. This decision must be made by you and your child after thorough discussions.
