Through my teaching, I ensure that students gain a depth of knowledge based upon procedural and conceptual fluency. Giving students the tools to be able to apply their understanding in new and creative ways to problem-solve and to look at maths in context so that they discover things for themselves and really just have fun with maths.

My love of enquiry-based learning ensures that the students I teach come to school everyday with a big smile on their face. As a keen netball player, I thoroughly enjoy training the Under 16 Netball team and competing in tournaments all around the world.

I think it’s important that the children are having fun in the classroom but at the same time I have high expectations of myself and of the students in my class as well, so every day they’re going home with a wealth of knowledge and new skills but also having had some fun in the classroom.
