CIS is a true international school, and we have students from more than 40 nationalities, including members from the international consulate community.

As part of our Motto "Collaborate, Innovate, Succeed (CIS)", not only do we encourage our students to collaborate, but we also collaborate with the wider community, bringing in greater learning perspectives and opportunities to our students. We have been fortunate to establish such collaborative ties with various consulates.

How Does CIS Raise Future Leaders?

CIS prepares students for an unknown future world that is full of challenges and complexities. Through our programs, we promote, build and leadership skills so that our students have endless possibilities. This means that our students take active roles in their education and develop positive, transferable skills in the process. The goal of inspiring student leaders here at CIS is to create a culture of community, ownership, collaboration and teamwork in the classroom, skills that carry over to adulthood. Creating well-rounded student leaders requires a holistic approach to learning, and that’s why we offer opportunities such as Careers Week, which gives them clear pathways to allow them to pick the future route best suited to them.

International Consulates and Distinguished Guests Visit CIS During Careers Week

CIS recently invited parents and close supporters who lead and work at consulates to come in and speak to our students during Careers Week, including the American and the Italian Consulate. We are honored to have the support of several consulates who work closely with us to support our educational vision through their resources and assistance. This allows us promote international-mindedness by giving our students the opportunity to learn more from them. Our international guests discussed their roles at these consulates, and explained the ins and outs of their job.

Since CIS is home to learners of more than 40 nationalities, students, including children of consulate staff, have many chances to learn and grow in an international community. Our students have the opportunity to spend time with others from around the world who have grown up immersed in a range of cultures, traditions and opinions. Opportunities like Careers Week help our students gain a deep sense of respect for the different types of jobs out there, and ignite in them a passion for learning about other people’s backgrounds.
