佛山諾德安達學(xué)校一直致力培養(yǎng)學(xué)生成為關(guān)愛他人,對社區(qū)有貢獻和有責(zé)任感的全球領(lǐng)袖。今年8月,我校11名中學(xué)生經(jīng)過選拔成為ASDAN在線支教項目志愿者,為7-12歲的海南鄉(xiāng)村貧困地區(qū)的孩子遠程提供線上授課。



學(xué)生說:“第一次在線上見面,看著他們期待又激動的臉龐,我有些訝異又覺得驚喜。”

「ASDAN 在線支教項目設(shè)計一系列適于 7-12 歲鄉(xiāng)村小學(xué)生的在線課堂。通過 ASDAN 志愿者網(wǎng)絡(luò),招募全國優(yōu)秀的高中生,把“國際英語課堂”,豐富、有趣、國際化的教學(xué)活動,帶入農(nóng)村及不發(fā)達地區(qū),彌補中國鄉(xiāng)村素質(zhì)教育課程以及英語教學(xué)資源的缺失?!?

Nord Anglia School Foshan is committed to preparing students to become caring, contributing and responsible global leaders. In August 2020, 11 NAS Foshan students were selected as volunteers of ASDAN online education project, providing remote online teaching for children aged 7-12 in poor rural areas of Hainan.


「 ASDAN teaching project provides online course for 7 to 12 years old rural pupils. Through ASDAN volunteer network, outstanding high school students bring the "international English classroom" and various learning activities to the rural or underdeveloped areas, contributing to the development of China rural quality education courses and the English teaching resources. 」

“另一個語言”的世界

Lead them to the new language world


本次支教,我校學(xué)生成為鄉(xiāng)村孩子的英語啟蒙志愿者,帶領(lǐng)他們走進“另一個語言”的世界,從零開始,通過課堂小游戲等形式,一對一鼓勵孩子們開口讀字母、說英語。


志愿者必須經(jīng)過多個課時的教學(xué)方法輔導(dǎo),從而成為一名合格的在線支教老師。


Our students became the English teachers for the rural children, leading them into the new language world. By one-to-one tuition and learning games, they encouraged children to read letters and speak English.

Tutor on teaching method is necessary for volunteer to become a qualified teacher.

線上支教課堂現(xiàn)場


志愿者學(xué)生緊接著以3-4人為一個小組進行合作,開展備課、授課,并完成志愿服務(wù)報告。課程包括英文閱讀、英文對話、藝術(shù)與音樂與科學(xué)等,旨幫助鄉(xiāng)村兒童提升他們的核心技能和創(chuàng)新思維。


線上支教結(jié)束后,學(xué)生獲得了30小時的志愿服務(wù)時長認證。該證書由Ofqual(英國課程局) and UCAS(英國高等院校招生辦)權(quán)威認證,是學(xué)生升學(xué)申請的重要砝碼。


After the professional teaching skills training, they spent their time on lesson preparation and teaching, and completed the volunteer service reports. Aiming at helping the rural children improve their core skills and creative thinking, the courses arranged include English reading, oral communication, music and science etc. After the online teaching, the students were certified for 30 hours of volunteer service, which is approved by Ofqual and UCAS and would be seen as an important factor in their application for further study.

在線支教心得分享:


梁同學(xué):“持續(xù)了一個月的支教生活已經(jīng)結(jié)束了,我們已跟海南山區(qū)的孩子在網(wǎng)絡(luò)上道別。在這一個月里, 我經(jīng)歷和收獲了很多。我的英語課堂,從最初同學(xué)們不愿意聽課,到了最后他們都能記住老師名字,并且開心地回答問題,這些變化讓我感到高興。


除此之外,通過一個月的支教,我對農(nóng)村孩子的英語情況有了不一樣的看法。他們其實會聽、說、讀、寫英語,只是不好意思表達。通過我們的鼓勵及表揚,他們漸漸會用英文打招呼了。同時,通過支教活動我收獲了友誼,認識了一群調(diào)皮搗蛋且可愛的朋友。本次支教,我們不僅為農(nóng)村里的孩子提供了一個更好的英語學(xué)習(xí)環(huán)境和外語課堂,同時我也學(xué)會了如何與低齡兒童相處和體會到作為老師的艱辛!

Catherine:" The one-month volunteer teaching has come to an end. We have said goodbye to the children in Hainan. In this month, I have experienced and gained a lot. At the beginning, the children were reluctant to listen to teacher in my English class. But at last, they could answer the question actively, which made me happy.

In addition, I have got a different view of the English education of rural children. Actually, they have English skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing, but they are too shy to express themselves. Withour encouragement and praise, they gradually began to greet each other in English. At the same time, I gained friendship and got to know a group of naughty but lovely children. We not only provide a better English learning environment and language class for rural children, but also learn how to get along with children and experience the hardships of being a teacher!
