柏朗思觀瀾湖學(xué)校全面發(fā)展星級獎勵 BMH Holistic Star Awards

本周，我校小學(xué)低段、小學(xué)高段以及初中，引入了新的柏朗思觀瀾湖學(xué)校星級獎勵制度，整體包含7個等級。星級獎勵順序如下：

This week the new BMH star awards have been launched in Prep School. There are seven in the complete series. They will be awarded in sequence as follows：

1. 黃色 Yellow

2. 綠色 Green

3. 藍(lán)色 Blue

4. 銅色 Bronze

5. 銀色 Silver

6. 金色 Gold

7. 紅色 Red

柏朗思觀瀾湖學(xué)校的孩子們可以通過在學(xué)校的努力贏得全部七顆五角星徽章。未來他們會獲得的五角星徽章顏色是由他們已經(jīng)擁有的徽章顏色決定的。如果他們已經(jīng)獲得了一枚黃色五角星徽章，那他們將會再收到一枚綠色的五角星徽章，以此類推。

這是種特殊獎勵并不是日常或是每周獎勵給同一個學(xué)生的。我們期望的是孩子可以在整個學(xué)年獲得4或5枚五角星徽章。徽章可以跨學(xué)年佩戴至新學(xué)年。一旦學(xué)生擁有了整套七枚五角星徽章，我們會制作第二系列的星級獎勵。

這些五角星徽章是獎勵給那些在全面發(fā)展方面取得突出成績的孩子們的;獎勵他們在自身成長方面、或持續(xù)不斷且積極向上的態(tài)度方面，或堅(jiān)持不懈地展現(xiàn)中華美德及價值觀方面有突出表現(xiàn)。此外，在柏朗思觀瀾湖學(xué)校，我們的目標(biāo)是讓每個孩子都成長為有愛心、理解力強(qiáng)、能夠適應(yīng)環(huán)境發(fā)展的世界公民。為了鼓勵和符合21世紀(jì)能力和生活技能要求，讓每個孩子都能發(fā)揮自己的潛能，我們也會獎勵那些在以下全面發(fā)展圖中有多項(xiàng)突出表現(xiàn)的孩子：

The ambition for a child at BMH is to be awarded all seven stars during their time at the school. The colour of the star is determined by the colour of the stars the have received to date. If they have received a yellow star already, they would receive a green star and so on.

These are special awards that will not be awarded every day or even every week to the same children. The expectation is that over the course of a whole school year a child will be doing very well to receive 4 or 5 stars. The wearing of the badges can carry over into each new school year. Once a child has completed the set of seven stars we will create a new style of star for a second series.

These star badges are awarded to children for significant holistic achievement; for progress from their relevant starting point, for a sustained positive attitude or for a consistent display of a Chinese value or virtue. In addition at BMH we aim for each child to develop into caring, understanding and environmentally aware global citizens. As a way of encouraging and recognising 21st century competencies and life skills that will enhance each child to fulfil their potential we are also looking to award stars to children for displaying many of the skills displayed in the Holistic rings below:

獲得五角星徽章的孩子應(yīng)該佩戴在校服外面，這是值得驕傲的榮譽(yù)。貫穿全年，他們可以把自己獲得的每一枚徽章并排佩戴在校服上。提醒大家注意的是，徽章是獎勵給孩子的，因此孩子需要自己保管好徽章，如果遺失，學(xué)校不會補(bǔ)發(fā)。

Children who receive a star should wear it with pride on their uniform. Over the course of the year they can wear each star they are awarded side by side on their uniform. Please be aware that these badges are for the child to keep. However they are personally responsible for each star. The school will not replace them if a child misplaces or loses one.

下面是本周小學(xué)低段幾位首批獲得五角星徽章(黃色)獎勵的學(xué)生。祝賀這些獲得黃色五角星徽章的孩子們!

As can be seen below a few children have started to receive the first star award (yellow star) in Prep Juniors this week. Well done to all the children who have received a yellow star.

小學(xué)3C班廖祺瑞 / Jerry Liao P3C

獎勵原因：感謝他持之以恒地展現(xiàn)自己的友善和樂于助人的精神，每天主動地幫忙收拾活動物品。

For incredible sustained kindness and helpfulness in tidying play equipment on a daily basis without being asked.

小學(xué)3B班王安妮 / Anny Wang P3B

獎勵原因：感謝她的奉獻(xiàn)精神和出色的創(chuàng)造力，創(chuàng)作了許多精彩的繪畫和素描作品。

For her dedication and wonderful creativity in producing a number of wonderful drawings and sketches.

小學(xué)2C班Zenon Wyatt / Zenon Wyatt P2C

獎勵原因：感謝他在體育課的活動中表現(xiàn)出良好的學(xué)習(xí)動機(jī)和自我意識。

For showing good motivation and self-awareness during a number of PE sessions.

小學(xué)2C班李思璇 / Lily Li P2C

獎勵原因：感謝她在體育課的活動中表現(xiàn)出的突出進(jìn)步和刻苦學(xué)習(xí)的精神。

For great progress and hard work in PE sessions.

小學(xué)3A班 Louisa Ni / Louisa Ni P3A

獎勵原因：感謝她在過去三個月中堅(jiān)持不懈地致力于藝術(shù)創(chuàng)作的學(xué)習(xí)。

For perseverance and dedication to her artwork over thepast three months.

小學(xué)2C班汪心迪 / Cindy Wang P2C

獎勵原因：感謝她在面對挑戰(zhàn)時表現(xiàn)出的應(yīng)變能力和積極的態(tài)度。

For showing resilience by coping with a challenging situation and carrying on positively in the immediate aftermath.

徽章會獎勵給在柏朗思觀瀾湖學(xué)校就讀的小學(xué)和中學(xué)的孩子們(包括小學(xué)1年級至中學(xué)7年級的學(xué)生)。下周，我會首次向全體老師們解釋星級獎勵制度，所以如果您的孩子對如何獲得徽章表現(xiàn)的很興奮，也請耐心等待。我們也很高興柏朗思的孩子們、學(xué)生們能有想要贏得徽章獎勵的動力和興奮的心情，但我們將讓全校老師從十一月份開始使用這些獎勵。本周只是一個開端。

The badges will be awarded to children who are in Prep and Senior School at BMH (P1 to S7 inclusive). Next week I will be explaining to all staff for the first time the star awards, so please be patient if your child is excited about the possibility of receiving a star. We are delighted that BMH children and students are motivated and excited, but it will only be from the beginning of November that these awards are used by all staff. This week is only just the beginning.
