東亞海外學(xué)校聯(lián)合會(huì)(EARCOS )領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人會(huì)議

SWIS is an active member of the East Asia Regional Council of Schools. EARCOS is an organization of 174 accredited schools in East Asia.

EARCOS inspires adult and student learning through its leadership and service and fosters intercultural understanding, global citizenship and exceptional educational practices within our learning community. This 51-year old organization actively promotes the development of international educators and creates opportunities for students to engage in high-quality activities across the region.

Last week, five members of the SWIS leadership team attended the annual EARCOS Leadership Conference in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. With a theme of “Nurturing Growth and Building Relevance”, the conference sessions allowed participants to learn, share and collaborate with other leaders in the East Asia international school learning community. The annual conference consistently challenges and inspires educational leaders to make education relevant to the students they serve.

As active members of EARCOS, SWIS Deputy Director Daniel Legault and Primary Principal Anna Laurenson led collaborative sessions with their peers from other international schools in the region. Principal Laurenson also developed and delivered a presentation focused on well-being in international schools. This presentation was highly relevant as well-being has become a major focus for 21st-century schools.

上周，我校有五位高層領(lǐng)導(dǎo)代表SWIS，以EARCOS 成員的身份參加了在馬來(lái)西亞舉行的EARCOS領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人會(huì)議。

本次領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人會(huì)議的主題是“促進(jìn)成長(zhǎng)與深化聯(lián)系”，東亞地區(qū)國(guó)際學(xué)校教學(xué)與行政的高層領(lǐng)導(dǎo)共聚一堂，參加多場(chǎng)高層次論壇與研討，交流和討論前沿的教育理念與教育實(shí)踐。本屆EARCOS領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人會(huì)議繼續(xù)保持高水準(zhǔn)，參會(huì)的國(guó)際學(xué)校高層領(lǐng)導(dǎo)感覺(jué)收獲巨大，尤其對(duì)于教育如何更深度地服務(wù)學(xué)術(shù)與促進(jìn)學(xué)生發(fā)展，本次會(huì)議促使區(qū)域國(guó)際學(xué)校高層及時(shí)反思、與時(shí)俱進(jìn)并積極籌謀未來(lái)。

SWIS自成為EARCOS成員以來(lái)，一直積極參與這一平臺(tái)，本次會(huì)議我們的教學(xué)副校長(zhǎng)Daniel Legault 和幼兒及小學(xué)部校長(zhǎng)Anna Laurenson分別主持了東亞地區(qū)國(guó)際學(xué)校副校長(zhǎng)級(jí)別的研討會(huì)和東亞地區(qū)國(guó)際學(xué)校小學(xué)校長(zhǎng)級(jí)別的研討會(huì)。此外，幼兒及小學(xué)部Anna校長(zhǎng)還主講了“國(guó)際教育中的身心健康教育”專題，與部分參會(huì)的高層領(lǐng)導(dǎo)就促進(jìn)學(xué)生身心健康和全面發(fā)展這一21世紀(jì)教育的熱點(diǎn)議題進(jìn)行了探討和互動(dòng)。

EARCOS 通過(guò)在國(guó)際教育領(lǐng)域具有引領(lǐng)性的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)網(wǎng)絡(luò)和教育服務(wù)，向成員學(xué)校和學(xué)生提供有針對(duì)性的發(fā)展機(jī)會(huì)，促進(jìn)成員學(xué)校間的跨文化合作與交流，培養(yǎng)全球公民，推廣優(yōu)異的教育實(shí)踐。EARCOS成立51年，目前在東亞地區(qū)有174個(gè)具有國(guó)際認(rèn)證資質(zhì)的成員學(xué)校。EARCOS一直致力于促進(jìn)國(guó)際教育領(lǐng)導(dǎo)和國(guó)際教師的專業(yè)發(fā)展，拓展學(xué)生參加全區(qū)域高水平活動(dòng)的網(wǎng)絡(luò)與學(xué)習(xí)機(jī)會(huì)。
