Dear immersion school families,

尊敬的實(shí)驗(yàn)部家長們，

The first day of school is almost here! There is a special atmosphere on a school campus when everyone is getting ready for a new school year with our students. It is a mixture of activity and anticipation, the excitement of many people coming together for a grand event. The teachers have been busily preparing their classrooms, attending training sessions and planning their lessons. The Leadership team has been directing the work of each division for the year and have also met with our Parent Volunteer Association (PVA) to share updates. The staff have been preparing the campus facilities to be ready for our wonderful students. We can’t wait to see their smiling faces!

我們即將迎來新學(xué)期的第一天!校園里洋溢著歡樂的氣氛，每個人都在為新學(xué)年做準(zhǔn)備。開學(xué)前的各種活動與準(zhǔn)備工作正在熱烈地展開，老師們忙著布置教室、參加培訓(xùn)與備課。學(xué)校領(lǐng)導(dǎo)班子忙著為各部門設(shè)立新一年的工作目標(biāo)，他們也已向我們的家長志愿者委員會(PVA)代表們分享學(xué)校的近況。員工們忙著確保校內(nèi)各項(xiàng)設(shè)施完備，供我們可愛的學(xué)生們使用。我們迫不及待地想見到學(xué)生們微笑的臉龐。

實(shí)驗(yàn)部的在讀生們歡迎你們返校，我們非常想念你們!同時今年加入我們實(shí)驗(yàn)部大家庭的新生們，歡迎你們的到來!

The past year was uniquely difficult due to COVID-19. As a community, this brought us to face many challenges together. I expect we will continue to encounter challenges as the impact of the pandemic continues to take its course through our lives in various ways. As a school, we have been able to learn a lot from our experiences with online learning during the closure, as well as once we reopened for classes. I am happy to report to you that we will be starting the school year with both foreign and local teachers present in every classroom. Every classroom will also be outfitted with technology to support online lessons from those teachers who are not yet in Shenzhen. Students will have daily lessons with local and foreign teachers who are focused on an area of expertise for deep learning in both Chinese and English across the disciplines. Our program delivery through whole group, small group, and individual interactions will also continue.

由于新冠疫情的發(fā)生，上個學(xué)年是尤為艱難的一年。作為一個大家庭，我們團(tuán)結(jié)一致，應(yīng)對挑戰(zhàn)。新冠疫情會繼續(xù)以各種方式影響我們的生活，我預(yù)計(jì)我們還會繼續(xù)面臨挑戰(zhàn)。作為學(xué)校，在閉校期間我們已經(jīng)從線上教學(xué)的經(jīng)歷中獲得豐富的經(jīng)驗(yàn)，相信學(xué)生們也將繼續(xù)在開學(xué)后的線上教學(xué)中繼續(xù)專注地學(xué)習(xí)。我很高興地告訴大家，新的學(xué)年每個班級都有分配外籍老師和中英雙語老師共同教學(xué)，每個班級也會調(diào)試好設(shè)備，為暫時回不了深圳的老師提供線上教學(xué)的技術(shù)支持。精通不同學(xué)科的中英雙語老師和外籍老師將用中文與英文為學(xué)生授課，有助于學(xué)生們深入學(xué)習(xí)學(xué)科知識，掌握技能，并在不同學(xué)科間融會貫通。我們的課程也將繼續(xù)以大組、小組及一對一等分組互動形式開展。

More good news is that the Shenzhen Foreign Affair Office and related government department are working with the school to bring our teachers back to Shenzhen if they are out of the country. This group of overseas teachers are anxious to be back on campus with our students.

還有一個好消息是深圳對外辦與相關(guān)政府部門正在積極協(xié)助學(xué)校的工作，爭取能讓滯留海外的老師早日回到深圳。老師們都迫切希望回到校園，與學(xué)生們在一起。

To help prepare our students for the first day of school, a short orientation and greetings with your class teachers are scheduled Monday, August 31. Our Admissions and Registrar’s office will continue to share necessary information to families regarding, schedule, class assignments, uniforms, and school supplies.

為了使我們的學(xué)生能盡快適應(yīng)新學(xué)年，8月31日，我們將有一個簡短的迎新會，你們也將與各自的班級老師見面。我們的招生辦與學(xué)生處將繼續(xù)與家長們分享日程、分班、校服、學(xué)習(xí)用品方面的信息。

As you know, we plan to move to our new campus facilities after the first semester. The second phase of interior finishing has already commenced and will be completed soon. We will hold our classes on the NCIC campus for the first semester so that we can allow for plenty of time to ensure a safe new environment before moving, as well as plan for a date that will have the least interruption to our student schedules. The move to a new facility is just one more positive step we are taking together as a community as we build an amazing school together. We have made it through some challenging times, and though we may see more challenges ahead, we also have many opportunities which will make the ultimate learning experience for our Golden Monkeys!

大家都知道，我們計(jì)劃在第一學(xué)期后搬到新校區(qū)。室內(nèi)裝修的第二階段已經(jīng)開始且很快就能完工。我們在南山中英文學(xué)校的校園里開展第一學(xué)期的教學(xué)，是為了能有足夠的時間確保我們學(xué)生搬到一個安全的新環(huán)境，并充分計(jì)劃搬遷事宜。搬到新校區(qū)是我們作為一個大家庭共建美好校園的又一積極舉措。我們已經(jīng)共渡了一段艱難時刻，盡管我們可能面臨更多的挑戰(zhàn)，我們也將迎來更多的機(jī)遇，這些經(jīng)歷都將會見證與成就我們可愛的金猴們!
